Got a pile of cpm154 cut out and profiled. I need to cut the bevels in before i heat treat.

4 of the razors are cpm154 as a test to see how that steel works out shaving the other 5 are 52100 that i normally use.

just finished up. Now and then i can get to something that not on order list. it keeps me fro going nuts adn lets me keep pushing myself artistically or try new skills. this one was forging as its one a the few knives i have even forged.

ok specs blade
front of handle to tip 314mm
edge 296mm
spine to edge 38mm
hollow ground back on a 4foot platen flat ground front bevel as about 7 degree so a 2ndary at the proper15 can be made and still have a super thin knife
spine is 4mm at the gaurd 3m half way and tapering all the way out to the tip

handle 165mm long 26-30mm tall 24-28mm wide (taper thinner to the front of the handle) to show about the balance of the OCT. the other sides at the front is 25 and 24mm so perty close to round
a light chamfer around the but to knock down the sharp edge

balance point is right at the plunge cut of the grind and the knife’s total weight is 335g

I am on hold for now on taking new knife orders as i am unsure how long it will take me to catch up on my backlog. I will now and then have a knife up on the available tab. I will also update as to when I feel I can start taking orders again and the revamped price list.

I am thankful that you have stopped by my site and sorry that i am unsure about my backlog time line.

the razors 3

yep i got 3 ready to go asnd to cut down on clutter i am posting them together

they are all 52100 steel and have had cryo as part of the heat treat
all 3 have been first ground on a 10 inch wheel and then with a 6 inch to add a bit more hollow to the grind (its my middle of the road grind) the tangs are satin finished and the grinds are high belt finish
the spine thickness is right around .200 on all of them

the pivots are 1/8 inch folder pivots and use 2-56 screws. the handles are one piece and have been clearcoat sealed with CA
2 of the razors are 6/8 size and have handles of olive wood and bocote
the razor that is made with red and black burlap burl is a 7/8

Damascus diamond back razor

Deker random Damascus made of 1095and 15n20

curly UA ironwood with some sapwood showing

gold wash screws in a 1/8″ folder pivot

the blade is 6/8 of grind but is 15/16 counting the spine with a length of 3 and 1/8 inch

the spine has been carved in a diamond pattern

6/8 humpback wedge

nice little 6/8 humpback razor with carved tang and tail
the blade is 52100 steel with “hammer tone” finish on the flats.
the blade is high belt finished and has an edge length of 2.75 inch
the olive wood handle is one piece of wood and has been sealed with CA to help make it even more resistant to wetness
